Thanksgiving in Puerto Morelos

Date: November 23, 2020

Hello friends!

It’s been awhile since we’ve posted on the blog. But this seems like a good time to start again… Why? Thanksgiving is here!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite weeks here in Puerto Morelos! First, it’s in the middle of my favorite month — I absolutely love November in Puerto Morelos.

This November has been a bit more wet than usual, but oh how I love the cooler weather. Low 80’s, nice breezes, bright sunshine, beautiful beach. Plenty to give thanks for! And it usually means the return of the snowbirds is almost complete, so we get to reunite with our friends, but we haven’t hit true high season stride yet. It’s truly a sweet spot in our year.

If you plan to celebrate Turkey Day in Puerto Morelos, but would rather sip mimosas than cook all day (like me) here are some great dine-in and take-out options where you can find a traditional turkey dinner and all the fixings around town. Not in the mood for tradition or turkey? No problem, most restaurants will be open and offering their normal menu on Thursday!

Please remember that the restaurants are not operating at full capacity, and all health and safety rules are being followed – so if you plan to dine-in, please plan ahead with a reservation, and plan to arrive with your mask on.
