Imagine our delight when we found out about Atelier – where you can find both scrumptious baked goods AND great pizza, all in one place and all during the course of one day…

In our quest to discover new places, we stumbled upon a little gem just across the street from the soccer field in Villas 2, right next to Papa Boss. Say hello to Atelier, a cozy bakery and pizza spot run with warmth and care by Victoria and Matías.
They serve up fresh, handmade sweets every day — and come evening, their pizzas are absolutely worth trying.
Whether you’re in it for the sugar rush or the savory slice, Atelier is definitely one to add to your local foodie list!
La Colonia is a must-visit…
When it comes to Puerto Morelos, there’s so much more than meets the eye — even though it’s often called a “small town” – it is small, but it’s not just the seaside village! Depending on your plans, if you have a little room in your itinerary, we highly recommend grabbing a bike, hopping in a taxi, or catching the colectivo to explore the other side of the highway! There you will find a vibrant neighborhood called “La Colonia”.
From restaurants, barber shops, gift stores, fruterías, and all kinds of services that can come in handy if you are around…
If you want to truly experience Puerto Morelos in all its colors and flavors, don’t just stay by the beach — come explore the other side of town!
And while you’re at it, make a sweet stop at Atelier — grab a couple of their handmade treats to recharge before continuing your adventure. It’s the perfect way to get a taste of the town’s charm, one bite at a time.
Before you go, be sure to check their hours!
Atelier is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM — with pizza served during the evening shift. On Sundays, they open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Their day off is Tuesday.

P.S. With this recommendation in mind, a perfect plan comes to mind: grab your pizza, your favorite drink, and head over to the beach to catch the beautiful sunset. You can’t go wrong with a plan like this — around 6 PM is ideal. It’s not too hot, the sunset is amazing, and there’s a refreshing breeze. Just the perfect time to relax and enjoy!
