Happy Friday!
We’ve had an exciting week here in Puerto Morelos!
First — MEXICO BEAT GERMANY in their first 2018 World Cup match — WOOHOO!!!!! This was a very important match for Mexico and really, not many people thought they could beat Germany (the defending World Cup champs) but the Mexicans believed! It was so fun to experience the excitement here – the entire town was crowded around a TV somewhere during the game – the roads were empty, shops closed, cheering everywhere!
The next match is tomorrow at 10 a.m. (local time) – Mexico vs. Korea – Vamos Mexico!
Second – the political elections are just a few weeks away and the races are tightening up. It will be interesting to see which party comes out on top in the national elections, as well as the local ones. Lots of anxiety around the outcome.
But it’s Friday, so let’s relax and dream about living on the beach in Mexico!
Our Run Away Friday feature this week is our listing RAR17 – a gorgeous 2 bedroom/2.5 bath condo at Ibis Puerto Morelos! It has a great open floor plan with the living room opening out onto a fabulous terrace. It’s so nice to see a project with a design focused on how people want to live here, i.e., indoor/outdoor spaces and this one doesn’t disappoint. The condo is elegant and contemporary, with beautiful finishes throughout and lots of custom details.
Three things we LOVE about this place:
- OMG THE TERRACE — it’s fantastic. I realize we are repeating ourselves, but really, you’ve got to see it. It’s almost fully covered and it’s big enough for an entire outdoor living room/dining room, basically. Except the living room has a comfy couch and sun loungers and the kitchen has a great gas grill. Ocean view, great breeze.
- Beautifully maintained complex — fully gated and secured, very well maintained, beautiful pool area with palapas, a bathroom, two showers, beautiful gardens. It’s just a pretty place!
- This condo has been maintained very well and the furniture is very nice. It’s never been used as a rental, so the owners invested a bit more on nice furniture and you can really see the difference.
