Lucky for us, this place is located just around the corner from our office! And yes, we frequent this locale often… We are big fans of the quiche and the breakfast sandwich, but honestly, everything we’ve tried from the menu has been great. Check it out for yourself!

7. Cafe Amancia

One of the first coffee shops in Puerto Morelos, Cafe Amancia has withstood the test of time and for a good reason. It’s great! The food, the atmosphere, the best location in town. Be sure to stop in for some breaky and people watching! It’s located right off of the main square.

8. Lola y Moya

Their slogan is “The coffee shop that makes you feel at home!” And it’s true- this place feels like home! The owner and staff are extremely inviting and the menu is full of made-from-scratch items. It’s a must try. Our favorite? The breakfast bagel with a banana coffee! Yum! Located on Rafael Melgar just a half block from the port side Chedraui.

9. La Bodega Verde

If you haven’t experienced La Bodega Verde, now’s the time to check it out! The menu is a great mix of traditional and non-traditional Mexican breakfast but the atmosphere is really what gives this place its charm! The dining area is like a secret garden. Who doesn’t want to eat breakfast in a secret garden? Located on Avenida Timon in Villas 1 of the colonia.

10. Cafe Layla

Cafe Layla is another spot that has been around for a long time! And the breakfasts are DELICIOUS. While the menu does offer some meat options, it’s made up of mainly vegetarian and vegan dishes.
