When Gabriel and I launched Run Away Realty in 2016, we weren’t at all sure where it was going to go, but we always talked about how cool it would be to have our sons join us in the business.

It was a remote dream. We floated the idea several times and they both turned us down.

Until now, that is….!

We are proud to announce that my son Austin Lee has relocated from Denver, Colorado to Puerto Morelos and is joining our little team as an agent.

This is a really big deal for all of us!

We are thrilled that Austin has decided to join us, not only from a personal perspective, but from a business perspective.

Austin has a finance background, and has spent the last 8 years in the real estate industry in Colorado. He brings a unique perspective with his experience working with real estate investment groups, and we think he’s a perfect addition to help us work with buyers considering investment properties.

We know Austin will be a great asset to our business, our community and an awesome addition to our little Run Away Realty family.

Here’s a word from Austin:

Pleasure to meet you! I’m Austin, a proud Coloradan who is incredibly lucky to call Puerto Morelos home. I’ve been visiting this wonderful community nearly every year since my grandmother moved here in late 2001. My mom (Kim Tempel) moved here full time in early 2012 and when she and Gabriel opened Run Away Realty in 2016, they tossed out the idea of me joining them on this new adventure. Although it was tempting, the timing wasn’t right for me then, but it was always in the back of my mind. Finally in the winter of 2022, I let them convince me to give the beach life a shot.

Over the past 8 years I’ve had the opportunity to wear many hats in the real estate world, most prominently in commercial real estate investments and commercial property management. Although I loved those jobs and learned many skills, it was always clear to me that I needed to pursue a career in which I had more control over my time in order to better leverage my skill sets – thus the decision to join Run Away Realty here in Puerto Morelos was a no brainer.

What has always drawn me to Puerto Morelos the most is the pace of life, small town charm, and sense of community. The Caribbean Sea sunrises aren’t too shabby either.  

I’m looking forward to immersing myself more into this amazing community and this real estate market. I can’t wait to work with you, and I know my unique investment perspective and operational experience will help us find your perfect house in paradise.
