Be sure to lay out your favorite green shirt tonight, because tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day!
Everyone is Irish on St. Paddy’s Day! And in Mexico it’s no different…
Actually, this day is held near and dear to Mexico’s heart due to the Irish-Mexico connection dating back to 1846. The Irish fought alongside Mexico in a war between Mexico and the US. And on March 17th, you can find many historic sites throughout the country lit up in green!
We never miss out on a chance to celebrate, so even if our famous lighthouse is not lit up in Irish-green, you will see the town decked out in 4 leaf clovers and probably a few felt leprechaun hats!
Looking to drink green beer and eat corned beef this March 17th? Well, luck of the Irish prevails! And there are a few ways to celebrate around town.
La Sirena
La Sirena will be serving up their famous St. Patrick’s Day menu: Corned beef with cabbage and an iced cold green XX. Top it off with live music on the rooftop, and you’re bound to have a great evening!
I Wanna Pizza
Ok, we’ve all heard of green beer, but how about green pizza? Our friends at I Wanna Pizza will be slicing up corned beef pizza and colcannon (an Irish dish made of potatoes and cabbage). Just follow the pink bike!
Cecilia Bakes
Looking for a fun treat for your family? Cecilia Bakes is icing up her brownies with green butter cream frosting!
Don Mexcal
Every day’s a good day to drink a beer or two at Don Mexcal, but March 17th they will be hosting a tasting party for a new artesenal beer! Live music and a fun time!
So from us to you, Happy St. Patrick’s Day. May you all have a bit of luck of the Irish, not just tomorrow but every day!
Sláinte Is Táinte! (Salud)
